Julia Schuster  is an interdisciplinary artist from Vienna, Austria, currently based in rural Sweden. Her artistic practice is characterized by clay and ceramic installations that blend seamlessly with photography, sound, video performances, and written compositions, which take on the form of letters, poems, and artists' books.

She is a graduate from the Royal College of Art Ceramics and Glass MA programme (2016) and holds a BA degree in Design from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in Italy (2013). Selected exhibitions include the British Ceramics Biennial, Photo Kathmandu, Palinsesti (Italy), the Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art (Extended Program), Röda Sten Konsthall (Sweden), and the Goheung Buncheong Culture Museum in South Korea. Julia has undertaken residencies in Denmark, Nepal, South Korea and the United Kingdom. She has been awarded Future Lights in Ceramics – Ambassador of European Ceramics 2018. Since 2019 she is an elected member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC).
