Caressing
Porcelain, polished, various dimensions, 2016
The' Caressing' pieces are direct impressions from the palms of
my hands. The line ‘Did the caress shape your hand, or the hand the caress?’ (from Michael Donaghy's poem ‘Touch’, 1988) inspired these pieces. I invite viewers to interact with them, and to explore
the softness of polished porcelain against their skin.
